Stack I bet on.
Not a tutorial list — a production bet. 76 tools across 9 categories, chosen because they ship, scale, and let one person own the full loop.
Frontend
Astro for content, Next.js for app. React stays, but Astro ships 0 JS by default — faster for marketing/blog + islands for interactivity. Tailwind for system, not utility soup.
Mobile
React Native for UI velocity, Kotlin for enforcement. Expo for dev, bare for Store. One codebase, two enforcement paths — UsageStatsManager + AccessibilityService fallback.
Backend & Database
Supabase = Postgres + Auth + Edge Functions + RLS in one. I bet on boring infra so product can be interesting. No custom backend until Supabase fails.
State & Data
Zustand for local, React Query for server. Redux Toolkit only when Moru-scale demands. Zod + React Hook Form for type-safe forms — fewer bugs, faster.
Security
Web Crypto for zero-knowledge (CipherOnce proof). No JWT in localStorage, CSP + RLS by default. Security is architecture, not checklist.
DevOps & Tooling
Vercel for preview deploys, GitHub Actions for CI (type-check → test → store:check), Playwright for critical flows. Ship daily, not quarterly.
Design & UX
Figma → design system → shadcn/ui + Radix. WCAG AA, motion respects prefers-reduced-motion. Design tokens in global.css, not magic numbers.
Engineering Practices
Vitest/Jest, Playwright, ESLint custom plugin (used at Moru). Docs live with code. Monitoring via Supabase logs + Vercel analytics.
AI & Automation
OpenAI API + local Edge AI for assist, not autopilot. Prompt → tool → verify. Automation for boring work, humans for creative work.
